International Admissions Process

Admissions Process by Student Level

The international admissions process varies depending on your student type and whether you are pursuing an undergraduate degree. In general, students pursuing a bachelor’s degree are classified as undergraduate. Those in pursuit of a master’s, education specialist, or doctoral degree are classified as graduate.

Steps to Apply

Undergraduate Students

Applying to Undergraduate Education at UCM is a three-step process.

Step 1: Complete the undergraduate admissions application.

Complete and submit the admissions application and pay the nonrefundable $75.00 USD application fee.

If you’re returning to Undergraduate Education at UCM after a semester or more absence and have not been awarded your bachelor’s degree, you must complete a new application.

Step 2: Send international transcripts.

Submit English translated unofficial transcripts from all attended secondary and post-secondary institutions for evaluation via your student status portal. Then request English translated official transcripts be sent directly to our office.

To expedite your application, you are welcome to use an external credential evaluator service. See below for a complete list of our approved credential evaluators. You will need to have your evaluation sent officially through the transcript evaluator company and add UCM as a recipient. A course by course evaluation with a calculated GPA is required.

If you are transferring credits from a US college or university we require official transcripts from each institution attended.

See below for more information.

Step 3: Submit supporting materials.

Submit all required materials and documents to International Student Services. This includes financial documents, passport photocopy, test scores, etc.

Approved Credential Evaluators

Before submitting an application for admission, review the country specific requirements for admission to UCM.

UCM accepts external transcript evaluations from member organizations. A list of accepted member organizations can be found below.

To expedite the transcript review process, you may choose to use an external evaluator. Notice that transcript review is one part of the application review process. Using an outside evaluation service does not guarantee an expedited admission decision to UCM.

If an external evaluation is completed, only the first transcript evaluation received will be accepted.

  • -If you choose this option, please use the linked URL for the UCM custom application.

If you have more than one evaluation completed, the first we receive will be the one used for an admission decision.

When applying with an evaluation company, make sure you select UCM as a recipient and include the following mail and email addresses:

University of Central Missouri

International Student Services

108 W. South St.
