Carol was named director of Digital Learning and Instructional Innovation in 2021.
She provides leadership and support for emerging learning technologies and instructional
development opportunities for UCM faculty. She guides the DLII team in working to
utilize a variety of instructional technologies and design elements for digital media
creation, and course production in-service to the University's digital initiatives.
Carol successfully completed the Applying the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric course,
QM Peer Reviewer course, QM Master Reviewer course, the Instructional Designer Certificate
program, the Online Teaching Certificate, the Advanced Online Teaching Certificate
programs from the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) and the SUNY Center for Teaching
Excellence, and the Effective Teaching Practices Online program from the Association
of College and University Educators (ACUE). In addition, she has earned a badging
certification on Accessibility in Higher Education: Universal Design for Learning
from Wichita State University. Carol has been at UCM since 2001 and has taught face-to-face
and online as an adjunct instructor since 2014.
Carol is point of contact for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
