What you will study

Learn problem-solving and analytical skills in the University of Central Missouri’s BS in Mathematics degree program. Our undergraduate courses teach you how to communicate mathematical ideas and apply theories to real-world scenarios.

Take courses in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, topology and modern algebra to learn how to perform a wide range of mathematical functions. You’ll also study statistics, discrete mathematics, probability, graph theory, combinatorics and data analysis to understand how to apply math to solve problems.

Finally, gain knowledge focused on what to do with a Math degree and how mathematics can be applied to business in classes such as:

  • Student life: Join classmates who share your interests. UCM’s student organizations host guest speakers, organize competitions and encourage networking. Math majors often participate in UCM’s student chapter of the Mathematical Association of America and the Missouri Beta Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society.
