WeMET (Western Mo Educational Technology Consortium)

Western Missouri Educational Technology Consortium, also known as WeMET, was organized as an educational and community consortium in 1993 to facilitate member’s use of interactive television [I-TV] through video conferencing technology. I-TV, online, and face to face classes connect schools to dual credit classes and special programming such as virtual field trips and ACT prep classes.

WeMET Can Assist

WeMET can assist with the development and implementation of educational programs, coordinate activities, and assist with course schedules that involve interactive systems to be incorporated into a regular school day.

Dropping A Course

There are a few things to know about dropping a college course:

  • Dropping the course at the high school, or rearranging your high school schedule, does not automatically drop your UCM enrollment.
  • To officially drop a dual credit course, you must do so in .    Please see deadlines here.
  • If you drop a course by the 100% refund date, there will be no record of the course withdrawal on your transcript (your permanent academic record).
  • If you drop a course after the 100% refund date, you will receive a grade of "W" (withdrawal) on your transcript. A "W" grade has no impact on your college GPA but may affect your financial aid eligibility after high school.
  • If you have extenuating circumstances and missed the drop or withdrawal deadlines, you may submit a petiton to drop with a refund after the deadline.

Students Needing Accessibility Services

Dual credit students should contact the Office of Accessibility Services at 660-543-4421.  Accommodations are   unique to each student and should be discussed with the staff of Accessibility Services.  They will work with the   individual student to assess the student's need for reasonable accommodations and develop a plan to meet those   needs.
