Much in demand as a collaborator, Kim has performed on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" with violinist/conductor Scott Yoo; in recitals with violinists Chee-Yun, David Halen (concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony) and Eric Halen (co-concertmaster of the Houston Symphony); and with cellist Daniel Lee (principal cellist of the St. Louis Symphony), tubist Sam Pilafian (founding member of Empire Brass) and mezzo soprano Mary Ann Hart (head of the Voice/Opera Department of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music). She makes frequent appearances with members of the Kansas City Symphony in chamber music programs and often serves as keyboardist for that ensemble. International performances have taken place at the University of Macedonia (Greece) and the International Double Reed Society 2018 (Granada, Spain).

Dr. Kim received her D.M.A. from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with and served as teaching assistant to Nelita True. She holds a B.M. and M.M. from Indiana University, where she was a student of Menahem Pressler and Leonard Hokanson. Dr. Kim makes frequent appearances as a clinician and adjudicator. She has presented masterclasses and workshops for the University of Macedonia, European Piano Teachers Association, the National Federation of Music Clubs, the Austin (Texas) Music Teachers Association, Kansas City Federated Music Teachers, St. Louis Piano Teachers Roundtable, numerous chapters of the Missouri Music Teachers Association, and at universities around the country, including Ithaca College, Texas Women’s University, Elmhurst College, and California State-Stanislaus.
