Master’s in CS degree program courses online

Graduate students in the University of Central Missouri’s master’s in Computer Science program primarily take courses in person, but the program is also available 100% online. You can also enroll in coursework on a full- or part-time basis to earn your Computer Science MS degree on a schedule that works for you.

Gain the expertise and experience needed to take charge and solve complex technological challenges in computer science. 

At the University of Central Missouri, our master’s in CS starts with Algorithms, Operating Systems, Database and Compilers. From there, you have the choice to personalize your graduate degree in a way that works for you.

We have three degree tracks within the Computer Science master’s program that are highly customizable — allowing you to pursue a thesis, a master project or just graduate coursework. No matter which track you choose, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in your computer science career.

Master’s degree in Computer Science program options:

  • General Computer Science graduate degree track: Gain a broad-based education in developing software products and theoretical computing. You will study mobile computing, web development, big data and other relevant topics.
  • Software Development degree track: Emphasizing development of real-world applications from the ground up, you will learn how to produce large software products in a variety of industries within our master’s Software Development track.
  • Cloud Computing degree track: Design applications using a commerical cloud computing platform such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. Understand cloud security archeticture and security design principles as well as billing, account management and pricing models.
