What is Occupational Safety Management in the real world? Find out sooner with an accelerated degree from the University of Central Missouri. With the only ABET-accredited bachelor’s and master’s programs of their kind, UCM offers an accelerated degree program that allows you to earn both your BS degree in Occupational Safety and MS degree in Occupational Safety Management (OSM) with an accelerated path. To enroll, you’ll start by majoring in Occupational Safety B.S. program, then apply to the accelerated program through the Occupational Safety Management M.S. program during your junior or senior year.

If you feel passionately about occupational safety, health and environment, occupational safety management jobs may be your calling. Safety professionals are in high demand, and job opportunities are available in every industry, including construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, healthcare, government agencies and more. Although the impact of safety professionals is hard to measure, UCM graduates of the BS/MS Occupatioinal Safety Management (OSM) accelerated program say their OSM degrees lead to truly helping others stay safe, protecting property and environment, promoting business and gratifying work in laws and regulations.

Value is another huge benefit of earning both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees together. Students say the process is easy, since BS credits flow right into the MS (up to 9 credit hours). Upon completion of your BS degree in Occupational Safety, you may have completed up to 30% of your OSM graduate credits under this accelerated path! Spend less time, effort and money getting ahead in your career — at a pace that works for you.

You will be eligible for the Graduate Safety Practicioner (GSP®) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) upon graduation with the OSM degree.
