Testing Services

UCM Testing Services is dedicated to improving student learning and development, the quality of academic and student support services programs, and the overall intellectual life and learning environment of the institution. Testing Services strives to implement UCM鈥檚 assessment program, provide the highest quality testing environment, and maintain accurate, confidential and reliable test score and instructional assessment services.

Testing Services ascribes to nationally recognized professional testing standards and governmental regulations promoting responsible fiscal, legal, ethical and equitable practices within an environment of continuous quality improvement, business innovation and technological advancement. Services provided for students, faculty, staff, as well as community and business partners will be consistently rendered with an attitude of service that demonstrates value in human relationships, personal excellence, human dignity, diversity, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Course Credit by Examination

UCM offers students the following opportunities to gain academic credit for knowledge they may have acquired through prior coursework or independent study. See the Standardized Tests page for additional information.

Advanced Placement (AP)
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL): Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT)
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Dante Standardized Subject Test (DSST)
International Baccalaureate (IB)

Only tests taken within the past 10 years are eligible for special credit review. For credit to be considered, the student must request an official score report be sent directly from the testing company. Students eligible to receive course credit by examination must be actively attending classes at UCM and are responsible for notifying Testing Services by submitting the . Please do not enroll in a course in which you anticipate receiving credit.

Scanning NCS Blue Bubble Sheets

Our goal is to scan BLUE bubble sheets (NCS Blue Bubble Sheet 8.5" x 11") within 48 business hours. Scanning is not available on demand and may take longer to process due to errors with the answer key, bubble sheets issues, equipment malfunctions or lack of staffing resources. New scanning coversheets are available by clicking .

English Proficiency & GRE Score Verification

Please note the following BEFORE contacting Testing Services.

Official scores may take 2-4 weeks to be received by the institution once you have made the initial request.
Please do not contact Testing Services until you have received official notification from the testing company that scores have been reported to UCM.
The test verification review process may take up to 3-5 business days upon receipt of official scores from the testing company and completion of the Score Verification Form.

Please make sure you do NOT contact Testing Services if you have NOT yet reported your scores or if you do NOT have your passport uploaded in your student portal.
