ROTC Air Force

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps is a program that prepares young men and women to become officers in the United States Air Force. It's available to students at approximately 1,000 college and university campuses. Air Force ROTC is more than a program; it's a path to a rewarding career in the Air Force after graduation. Following graduation, students will be commissioned as active duty second lieutenants in the Air Force.

UCM, MU and AFROTC

Through a special arrangement between University of Central Missouri, the University of Missouri-Columbia and the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, students at UCM can participate in the AFROTC program and receive their commissions in the Air Force. The arrangement allows students to attend UCM for their undergraduate degree, while simultaneously meeting their commissioning requirements in the AFROTC program at the University of Missouri-Columbia. UCM students commute to Columbia once each week to take the required aerospace studies courses and leadership laboratory.
