Respecting the History of These Woods

As you hike along the trails at Pertle Springs you join the thousands of other people that have visited for recreation since 1886. Please respect the historically and culturally significant areas that lie along the trails. You serve a critical role in preserving the history of the area for future generations.

Rules of Usage

Hikers & Trail Runners
Mountain Bikers
Fishing Access
Please stay on designated and marked trails to prevent erosion, destroying plants and animal habitat.
Please keep your bike under control and travel at a safe speed on marked trails while wearing a helmet.
Fishing is allowed on all Pertle Springs waterways.
Avoid muddy trails after heavy rains. Try to use an alternate trail to minimize impact.
Avoid muddy trails after heavy rains. Use during muddy conditions damages trail system.
Valid Missouri fishing permits are required.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
Be prepared to yield to hikers and trail runners. Downhill riders yield to uphill traffic. Anticipate other trail users when rounding corners and blind spots.
Statewide regulations apply.
