Dr. Long brings a wide background of technology experience since 2007 from professional teaching experience to industry experience. This experience includes teaching Engineering Technology, Robotics & Automation, and Additive Manufacturing. His industry experience as an OSHA Authorized Trainer and as an Additive Manufacturing Specialist is an essential asset to any of the students in Engineering Technology at UCM. His love for hands-on learning and teaching will inspire any student to achieve the impossible! Dr. Long works with students’ schedules to achieve the most optimal program of study that meets their individual needs and interests in order to complete a degree in a timely manner!

Dr. Long has a Ph.D. in Technology Management with specialization in Manufacturing Systems from Indiana State University, 2020. He has a Master of Science in Technology Education from University of Central Missouri, 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology/Manufacturing Management from Central Missouri State University, 2005. Dr. Long is involved in a variety of programs, classes, and extracurricular activities:
