Research Areas: Noncommutative Ring Theory and Module Theory
Dr. Heider received his B.S. in mathematics from Southeastern Louisiana University. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette under the direction of Gary Birkenmeier. Before Dr. Heider came to UCM, he spent a year at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. While at the University of Louisiana and Eckerd College, he taught a wide range of freshmen and sophomore level courses including college algebra, precalculus-algebra, precalculus-trigonometry, business calculus, calculus 1, calculus 2, and elementary statistics.
