Research Areas: Computer Simulation and Modeling, Data Mining, and Computer Science Education
Dr. Mahmoud Yousef earned a Bachelor of Science from Yarmouk University, a Master of Arts from Kent State University, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Yousef joined the University of Central Missouri in 2001. He has taught a variety of Computer Science courses including Computer Programming, Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures, Computer Architecture, Algorithms, Advanced Database, Data Mining, SAS Programming, and Big Data to name a few.
Dr. Yousef is the 2016 recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Advisor at UCM and the 2017 recipient of the Teaching Award at the College of Health, Science, and Technology at UCM.
Dr. Yousef is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and a member of the Steering Committee of Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges-Central Plains (CCSC-CP).
