Dr. Kang joins the Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity from Texas Tech University, where he earned his Ph.D. Additionally, he holds a Master's in Computer Science from Texas A&M University - Kingsville, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea.
His research and teaching interests include fault tolerance, software visualization, software engineering, and software testing. A well-published researcher, Dr. Kang was a software engineer for Samsung SDS in Seoul before entering into academia. At Texas Tech, he was the recipient of the Graduate Incentive Scholarship, the Toshiba Scholarship in Computer Science, and the Harrington Graduate Engineering Scholarship. He had taught software engineering courses at Wake Forest University as a visiting assistant professor for two years.
