Launch a career where you can make a difference as a physical therapy aide

In just four months, students are able to complete the University of Central Missouri's Physical Therapy Aide certificate program. Students completing the program are well prepared to begin a new career in healthcare. The healthcare field is growing rapidly, and the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics estimates that the demand for physical therapy aides will increase by close to 30 percent by 2026. Median salary for this rewarding career is $25,680, according to the Department of Labor. Through our program, you will learn to prepare equipment for patient treatments, maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility, assist physical therapists in selected procedures, help move patients, organize work areas and disinfect, perform clerical duties and assist patients with paperwork. Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.
