Learn theories and gain practical knowledge related to terrorism and those who commit it in the University of Central Missouri’s Terrorism and Homeland Security certificate program.

On the practical side, you get a strong foundation in homeland security strategies, preparedness, how to minimize the effects of an attack and how to recover from an event. What’s more, get a better grasp of the government agencies involved in those activities and their roles.

As part of the New York City Domestic Tour, students visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, learn about how the event shaped counterterrorism policy, and visit iconic New York City locations like the Statue of Liberty. Students who participate in the Oklahoma City Tour will visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and other key offices such as the local FBI office and U.S. District Court office.
