Corporate Communication Minor

The ways in which organizations communicate and interact with employees, customers and others is evolving, converging and becoming ever more complex. Learn how to engage a wide variety of audiences most effectively — at the crossroads of digital and human spaces — with the University of Central Missouri’s Corporate Communication minor. At UCM, you’ll gain vital soft skills to enhance the tangible business skills of these undergraduate degrees and others:

Connect with people wherever they are

With more employees working remotely and more consumers communicating with brands online, your ability to make meaningful, personal connections enhances your value to employers. In classes on our Warrensburg campus — with a couple of them also offered online — UCM’s Corporate Communication minor will teach you how to manage both digital and interpersonal channels in two to three semesters. You’ll then be prepared to lead in the job market, no matter your career path, through your ability to create loyal customers and enthusiastic employees.

At UCM, you’ll examine why you need — and learn how to use — specific messages across different channels to create meaningful interactions with coworkers, partners, prospects, customers and others — valuable knowledge for any major or career path. You’ll gain best practices to help avoid conflict and apply your learning to ensure your proficiency.

UCM’s Corporate Communication minor, designed for the 21st century, will teach you these skills and others to engage people in the digital realm:

  • Infographic development to help audiences visualize your message
