To be accepted into the Master of Arts in Teaching program, you must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
To apply, submit the following:
Candidates seeking Missouri teacher certification must also apply to the Alternative Pathways to Certification program and submit a certification plan signed by the Director of Clinical Services and Certification.
International Admission Requirements:
Submit an application to the Office of International Admissions
Meet the above requirements and the English proficiency requirement in one of the
following areas:
TOEFL score of 79 on the internet-based test or 550 on the paper-based test
IELTS exam score of 6.0
Elementary, Middle School, or Secondary Education - or - Accelerated Science Education
Educational Theory
Your certification area does not need to correspond to your undergraduate major, though many will. Some certification areas may require additional hours and/or classes not available online. Choose from the following:
