What is educational studies? UCM’s Educational Studies degree is a “2+2” program that builds on your associate degree to expand your career and technical competencies. With a BS in Educational Studies and Training, you can apply coursework toward Career & Technical Education Temporary Authorization Certification (CTAC) through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) or your own state’s Department of Education.
You can earn course credit for your work experience in the automotive industry, health sciences, Registered Apprenticeships, culinary schools, EMT training, the military, cosmetology and many more. This field is closely related to academic advisor degrees and career education degrees.
Depending on your interests, you can choose from undergraduate courses in four core areas:
UCM’s Career Education degree is part of the only comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in Missouri. In addition to an instructional design course, the bachelor’s program offers courses across CTE content areas, as well as industry training areas.
